As an Exercise Physiologist at WVU Medicine, you'll be at the forefront of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, playing a vital role in helping patients regain their health and improve their quality of life. A Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science is required. BLS certification within 30 days of hire and ACLS within 6 months.
One year of experience in cardiac rehabilitation is preferred.
Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) or Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) certifications are preferred.
The typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but may vary depending on patient needs.
The dress code is professional attire, which may include scrubs or business casual clothing.

The patient population includes individuals with a variety of cardiac and pulmonary conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, and COPD.

Patient safety is ensured through careful monitoring of vital signs, adherence to established protocols, and the availability of emergency equipment and personnel.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
