The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and enrollment in a graduate degree program with a major in nursing (within 12 months of hire), OR a BSN and ten (10) years of clinical experience. An active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in West Virginia and BLS certification from the American Heart Association are also required.
A Master of Science in Nursing is preferred.
Previous experience teaching in a registered nurse program is preferred.
The core duties include acting as a professional role model, staying abreast of current nursing practice, presenting curriculum defined theory, guiding students in developing critical thinking skills, and providing clinical/simulation learning activities.
A minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience in the relevant area of instruction is required, acquired within the past five (5) years.
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
