WVU Medicine is seeking a dedicated and passionate Athletic Trainer to join our team at Camden Clark Health & Wellness. In this role, you will serve as a first-line responder, injury manager, and liaison for youth and collegiate athletes in a dynamic sports environment. Your primary responsibilities will include injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, as well as communication with athletes, coaches, parents, and physicians.
Your day as an Athletic Trainer at WVU Medicine will be fast-paced and rewarding. You might start by preparing for practices or games, ensuring athletes are properly warmed up and equipped. During events, you'll be on the sidelines, ready to respond to any injuries that occur. After assessing an injury, you'll develop a treatment plan and work with the athlete to facilitate their recovery. Communication is key, as you'll be collaborating with coaches, parents, and physicians to ensure the best possible care for our athletes.

The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or Physiology, current licensure as required by the state in which services will be provided (Ohio or West Virginia), and national certification as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification.
The preferred qualification is two (2) years of experience in Athletic Training.
The core duties include providing on-site injury prevention, responding to acute injuries, conducting injury evaluations, managing concussion protocols, developing treatment plans, and educating athletes on injury prevention.
This role requires you to be able to meet the physical demands to perform the essential function to provide on-site athletic training to support youth and collegiate athletes.
