The minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, and WV Licensure in a field that permits practicing psychotherapy. BLS and AVADE certifications are required within 30 days of hire, as well as a West Virginia state criminal background check.
Two (2) years of training and/or experience in Behavioral Health Therapy is preferred.
Core duties include performing assessments, participating in treatment planning, assessing discharge needs, petitioning for commitments, interpreting patient problems, assessing for abuse, documenting services, facilitating counseling, discussing patient rights, and creating therapeutic activities.
You will be facilitating individual, group, and family counseling (as needed) utilizing evidenced-based practices.
