The minimum qualifications include a current Radiography license as required by the West Virginia state board, registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire, a state criminal background check and Federal background check (if applicable), and one (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Core duties include rotating in all Diagnostic areas for development of technical skills, performing image procedures based on assessment of the patient's status, producing images of optimal quality using imaging equipment, selecting exposure factors based on patient size and condition, and minimizing radiation exposure.
The salary range for a Pediatric Radiology Technologist at WVU Medicine Golisano Children's Hospital is estimated to be between $55,000 and $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
