The minimum qualifications for this position are a high school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification and six months of phlebotomy experience are preferred.
The essential duties and responsibilities of a Phlebotomy Technician include performing venipunctures and skin punctures, collecting blood and other specimens, labeling specimens accurately, operating laboratory equipment, and communicating effectively with patients and staff.
The physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and bend, stoop, and reach.
