  • File and complete necessary departmental documentation in an accurate and timely fashion to provide necessary historical data.
  • Submit accurate and timely patient charges.
  • Obtain necessary information from the clinical record, requisition, or by directly questioning the patient.
  • Prepare patients for testing procedures, including electrode application and patient education.
  • Monitor patients during sleep studies, observing physiological data and documenting events.
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies during sleep studies, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot polysomnography equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration.
