  • Participate in quality assurance programs to monitor and improve the accuracy and reliability of CT imaging services.
  • Rotate through diagnostic radiology assignments as needed, performing general radiography procedures.
  • Maintain competency in CT and radiology techniques through continuing education and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technologists, to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the CT scanning process.
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast media or other medications.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety regulations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new CT protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform quality control checks on CT equipment and ensure proper functioning.
  • Prepare and administer oral contrast agents as needed.
  • Assist with the transportation of patients to and from the CT scanning area.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required.
  • Assist with the training of new CT technologists and radiology students.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in CT technology and techniques.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Properly utilize RIS and PACS systems for image storage and retrieval.
  • Manage and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Assist in maintaining ACR accreditation standards.
