We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Potomac Valley Hospital (PVH) in Keyser, West Virginia. This evening shift position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients recovering from anesthesia. As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring a smooth and safe transition from the operating room to recovery. The required qualifications include a current Registered Nurse license in West Virginia or a multi-state license through the eNLC, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, and two years of registered nursing experience.
A BSN is preferred but not required.
This is an evening shift position.
The patient-to-nurse ratio in the PACU is typically 1:1 or 1:2, depending on the acuity of the patients.
We provide comprehensive training and orientation to all new PACU nurses, including classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and mentorship from experienced nurses.
We offer a variety of professional development opportunities, including continuing education courses, conferences, and workshops.
Nurses are required to wear scrubs and comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
Sign-on bonuses may be available depending on experience and qualifications.
