The estimated salary range for this role is $27,000 to $35,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. For West Virginia locations, you must have a Valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from the local health department prior to starting OR obtain a Temporary FSWP no later than the first worked day and a permanent FSWP within 1 week of start date or next available class. For Ohio locations: Obtain a ServSafe Person In Charge certification within 90 days of hire.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not always required.
The physical requirements include the ability to push fully loaded tray carts (approx. 250 lbs.) and stand for extended periods of time.
The working environment is representative of a healthcare food service setting, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
You will receive on-the-job training covering food safety, sanitation procedures, and customer service skills.
Opportunities for advancement include positions such as Food Service Supervisor, Dietary Aide, and Certified Dietary Manager.
The dress code typically includes a uniform provided by WVU Medicine, along with closed-toe shoes and adherence to hygiene standards.
The number of hours per week may vary, but typically ranges from part-time to full-time, depending on the needs of the department.
