You must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license in West Virginia or a compact state. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred but not required at the time of hire. You must also have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and five years of nursing experience with at least three years in infection control.
Your primary responsibilities include conducting surveillance for healthcare-associated infections, implementing and evaluating infection control measures, providing education to staff, and developing infection control policies.
