  • Develop materials cost and inventory reduction programs, providing data to measure progress
  • Develop and analyze reports (ABC analysis, usage history) to maximize inventory efficiencies
  • Conduct year-end physical inventory and other periodic counts
  • Develop and maintain performance standards for materials systems
  • Provide inventory management expertise hospital-wide
  • Ensure daily operational needs for supplies and equipment are met
  • Ascertain daily order requirements through Lawson, physical counts, and observation
  • Place orders for needed items on a daily basis with budgetary signature authority
  • Serve as a member of the buying team for items managed by MH, coordinating with Procurement, vendors, and hospital
  • Coordinate special deliveries from vendors or borrowing from other hospitals for items in short supply
  • Maintain competencies and serve as back up for other Materials Management Inventory Control Analysts
  • Assist the director in developing and monitoring budget cost centers
