Role Overview

As the Lead Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Internal Medicine at University Health Associates East (UHAE), you will play a crucial role in providing leadership, expertise, and support to Medical Assistants and Ambulatory Care Assistants. A Day in the Life

Your day will be dynamic and varied. It starts with preparing the exam rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and ready for patients. You'll greet patients, escort them to the exam rooms, and collect initial information and vital signs, setting the stage for the physician's visit. You'll assist with examinations, tests, and procedures, providing direct support to the provider. Throughout the day, you’ll schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, educate patients on follow-up care, and maintain quality control logs. A significant part of your role involves mentoring and training new MAs and ACAs, ensuring they are well-prepared to provide excellent patient care. You'll also handle any issues that arise in the back office, serving as the primary point of contact and providing guidance to your team. In the absence of the supervisor or manager, you’ll step in to oversee the staff and ensure everything runs smoothly.

The estimated salary range for this position is $35,000 to $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
