The minimum qualifications are a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and current National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant.
Preferred qualifications include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program and one year of healthcare experience.
The physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Also, the ability to bend, stoop, reach, and be capable of normal rotation, standing, and walking for an 8-12 hour shift.
The working environment includes working closely with others, working protracted or irregular hours, working around biohazards, working around infectious diseases, working with hands in water, and potential travel between facilities.
The required skills and abilities include the ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients, adapt to changing environments, use and learn software applications, organize and prioritize work, and work in both an independent and team setting.
The scheduled weekly hours are 40.
Potentially, the role may require travel between facilities.
