The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $32,000 and $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, and current National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
While not required, one (1) year of healthcare experience is preferred.
The position requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly. It also requires the ability to bend, stoop, reach, and be capable of normal rotation, standing and walking for an 8-12 hour shift.
The work environment involves working closely with others, working protracted or irregular hours, working around biohazards and infectious diseases, working with hands in water, and may require travel between facilities.
Essential skills include the ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients, adaptability to changing environments, proficiency in using and learning software applications, the ability to organize and prioritize work, and the ability to work in both independent and team settings.
The scheduled weekly hours are 40.
You will be working with OBGYN patients, providing care to women throughout their reproductive lives.
WVU Medicine offers various professional development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, continuing education courses, and leadership training programs.
The dress code typically involves wearing scrubs and comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Specific dress code guidelines will be provided during orientation.
