As a Medical Dosimetrist at WVU Medicine, you will be responsible for the design and optimization of radiation therapy treatment plans. You must be board eligible for the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) exam and obtain MDCB certification within one year of hire. A state criminal background check and federal background check (if applicable) are also required.
Certified Medical Dosimetrist through the MDCB, completion of a formal medical dosimetry program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), three years of medical dosimetry experience, and experience with Varian Eclipse and ARIA are preferred.
You will be using Varian Eclipse and ARIA treatment planning systems, as well as CT, MRI, and PET imaging modalities.
Your responsibilities include contouring structures, designing treatment plans, generating dose distributions, creating reference images, and supervising simulations.
