  • Communicate with the RN regarding any nutrition issues, such as poor appetite or lack of understanding of diet changes.
  • Assist the department with administrative tasks to support operations.
  • Answer patient call bells and relay messages to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards.
  • Assist patients with mobility and ambulation.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Assist with feeding patients who require assistance.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and completely.
