As a Patient Registrar, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration process. You will be the first point of contact for patients, collecting essential information, verifying insurance, and providing guidance on billing and payment procedures. Your contributions will directly impact the patient experience and contribute to the overall success of our healthcare team.
The Patient Registrar is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties related to patient registration and patient financial obligations. This includes:
Your day as a Patient Registrar might begin with preparing your workstation and reviewing the appointment schedule. As patients arrive, you'll greet them with a friendly smile and guide them through the registration process. You'll verify their insurance information, answer their questions about billing, and collect any required co-payments or deductibles.
Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the care they need. You'll also handle phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
At the end of the day, you'll balance your cash drawer, reconcile receipts, and prepare for the next day's appointments.

The minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a successful completion of a state criminal background check and Federal (if applicable) background check, as required for regulated areas.
