The minimum qualifications include a pharmacist license through the West Virginia State Board of Pharmacy and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire.
A Pharm.D. degree is preferred but not required.
Completion of a PGY-2 Residency, PGY-1 Residency, or three years of relevant pharmacist experience is preferred.
The core duties include reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications, ensuring drug distribution policies are followed, participating in drug use control, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, and promoting medication safety.
