Role Overview

WVU Medicine is seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Radiologist to join our growing academic practice at the new WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital. The position is open to candidates at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, depending on experience and qualifications.

A Day in the Life

As a Pediatric Radiologist at WVU Medicine, your day will involve a mix of clinical responsibilities, teaching, and potential research opportunities. You will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of pediatric imaging studies, including radiographs, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, surgeons, and oncologists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.

A typical day might include:

  • Reading and interpreting pediatric radiographs to diagnose fractures, infections, and other conditions.
  • Performing fluoroscopic procedures, such as upper GI studies and voiding cystourethrograms.
  • Interpreting pediatric ultrasounds to evaluate abdominal masses, assess for appendicitis, and guide biopsies.
