Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures of varying complexity to assist physicians in the diagnosis of injury and/or disease.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures.
  • Position patients accurately and according to established protocols.
  • Administer contrast agents as directed by a physician or radiologist.
  • Operate MRI equipment and related accessories effectively and safely.
  • Acquire high-quality diagnostic images using appropriate imaging parameters.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and completeness.
  • Identify and correct any artifacts or technical problems that may compromise image quality.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of MRI procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Stay up-to-date on new MRI techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  • Educate patients about MRI procedures and answer any questions they may have.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast agents.
  • Assist with the training and orientation of new MRI technologists.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Follow established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
