- Select exposure factors based on patient’s size, condition, and pathology, resulting in optimal image quality and minimal radiation exposure
- Minimize radiation exposure to self, patients, and other staff by using shielding, collimation, application of the inverse square law, and minimizing repeat exposures
- Maintain expertise in anatomy, physiology, and pathology relative to imaging to optimize the procedure and ensure patient care/safety
- Properly identify patient using two approved identifiers prior to performing procedure per hospital policy.
