  • Rotate in all Diagnostic areas for development of technical skills (Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, Operating Room, Endoscopy, Orthopedics)
  • Produce images of optimal quality using imaging equipment and systems for image delivery and archiving
  • Select exposure factors based on patient’s size, condition, and pathology, resulting in optimal image quality and minimal radiation exposure
  • Minimize radiation exposure to self, patients, and other staff by using shielding, collimation, application of the inverse square law, and minimizing repeat exposures
  • Maintain expertise in anatomy, physiology, and pathology relative to imaging to optimize the procedure and ensure patient care/safety
  • Properly identify patient using two approved identifiers prior to performing procedure per hospital policy.
  • Review patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educate patients and family members regarding imaging procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
