The minimum qualifications include a current West Virginia Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic Certification OR a current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Practical Nursing, or appropriate state board where services will be provided, as a practical nurse OR a current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC), and a high school diploma/GED.
Preferred qualifications include two (2) years of experience as a call dispatcher and two (2) years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR two (2) years of experience as an LPN.
This position requires heavy/hard work, including strength and/or stamina, lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, standing, and walking. You will need to be able to position and lift patients weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. You will also need to be able to push/pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
The work environment involves exposure to patient care settings and potential exposure to infectious diseases. You may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize risk. The work environment may also involve periods of high stress and demanding situations.
