The minimum qualifications depend on your hire date. If prior to May 1, 2022, you need a valid driver’s license, HeartSaver First Aid certification within 60 days of hire, and successful completion of WV DHHR Protected Services Record Check and WV CARES fingerprint-based criminal background check, and one year of security experience. If after May 1, 2022, you need a high school diploma or equivalent AND one year of experience in the Security field OR an Associate’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, forensics, law or related field of study, a valid driver’s license, HeartSaver First Aid certification within 60 days of hire, and successful completion of WV DHHR Protected Services Record Check and WV CARES fingerprint-based criminal background check.
One year of experience in the security field is preferred and is required if hired before May 1, 2022.
You will receive comprehensive training on hospital policies and procedures, security protocols, emergency response, and customer service. Additional training may be provided based on your specific job duties.
