Role Overview

Zapier's Revenue Zone sits at the intersection of product innovation and business growth. Every time a customer selects a plan, manages their subscription, processes a payment, or checks usage limits, they're interacting with systems you've built. As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll own the end-to-end experience from pixel-perfect pricing UIs to rock-solid payment APIs.

Our two core teams - Payments and Catalog - work together to ensure customers have transparent, trustworthy billing experiences. Team Payments handles subscription lifecycle management, invoicing, and payment processing. Team Catalog focuses on plan presentation, pricing experimentation, and internal revenue tooling.

This role offers immediate high visibility - your work directly impacts Zapier's $100M+ ARR and supports 3M+ active users. You'll collaborate with elite engineering, product, design, and data teams in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will blend strategic system design with hands-on coding:

• Architect and implement pricing engines that support complex usage-based models
• Build responsive React UIs for plan selection and billing dashboards
• Develop Node.js/TypeScript services for subscription state management
• Integrate and optimize Stripe payment flows for global customers
• Create GraphQL APIs connecting billing systems with customer entitlements
• Modernize legacy Ruby/Rails components to microservices architecture
• Implement real-time usage tracking with PostgreSQL and Redis caching
• Collaborate on A/B tests measuring pricing page conversion impact
• Ensure 99.99% uptime for mission-critical payment infrastructure
• Build internal tools empowering sales teams with dynamic quoting
• Lead technical design reviews for new revenue features
• Contribute to engineering standards across the Revenue Zone

Qualifications

We're looking for engineers who thrive in complex, revenue-critical systems:

• 5+ years full stack experience with React, Node.js/TypeScript
• Proven payment/billing system implementations (Stripe experience required)
• Deep database expertise (PostgreSQL, schema design, query optimization)
• AWS experience with Lambda, ECS, RDS, and CloudWatch
• Strong systems thinking for distributed, high-traffic architectures
• Experience modernizing legacy billing platforms
• Cross-functional collaboration with PMs, designers, analysts
• Comfortable owning problems end-to-end across the stack
• Remote work experience with async communication excellence

Bonus points: Usage-based metering systems, GraphQL federation, revenue recognition accounting knowledge.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive Compensation: $155,000 - $225,000 base salary (depending on experience) + equity + performance bonus.
