  • Developed a generalized EVM test framework using a common Simulink model, enabling EVM testing across 100/80/60/20 MHz bandwidths for the 6G RU. Previously, separate Simulink models were required for each bandwidth along with manual modifications to the source code within multiple Simulink blocks.
  • Created a unified EVM testing framework for the receiver side, which was previously unavailable in the 6G RU for 100/80/60/20 MHz bandwidths.
  • Provided TV support for the RX side for 20 MHz and mixed-bandwidth cases, resolved the delay issue, and successfully completed and passed the testing.
  • Worked on the PBCH pronto multicell scenario, contributing to debugging and analysis.
  • Designed a comprehensive HTML debug report for PBCH, integrating all critical plots required for efficient root-cause analysis.
  • Enabled 256QAM in FR2 by activating all three MHABs (DMAP, LDEC, and FDEQ) and matched the CRC performance with that of the optimal performance (5GMAX FLP).
  • Conducted a detailed investigation across thousands of MHAB parameters, using a systematic trial-and-error approach to identify critical parameters impacting performance, successfully resolving the issue and Resolved the saturation issue in Channel Estimation outputs after FxP conversion.
  • Innovated and automated various features in PDSCH, PDCCH, and PBCH channels in 5G, including multi-cell and multi-slot scenarios to facilitate practical testing of 5G systems.
  • Developed a comprehensive framework for performance analysis of multi-cell PBCH scenario.
  • Submitted an invention for patent filing, which went through the standard IPR review process (Invention Submission ID: NC335556).

Simultaneous Minimisation of Side-band power and PAPR in OFDM based Cognitive Radio without any sending side information(SI)

OFDMCognitive RadioZadoff-Chu (ZC) sequenceBinary Hypothesis Testing

In this work, an improved technique for the joint minimisation of sideband power and PAPR using Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequence is proposed for cognitive radio based on OFDM technology. A detection algorithm based on a binary hypothesis testing problem is also proposed to recover the chosen ZC sequence at the receiver side, eliminating the requirement of SI-transmission.

PAPR reduction of OFDM systems using the H-SLM method with a multiplierless IFFT/FFT technique

OFDMH-SLM methodIFFT/FFTBPSK

A novel low complexity algorithm for the computation of IFFT / FFT operation in OFDM modulated BPSK communication systems without requiring any multiplication of twiddle factors. The PAPR reduction capacity of the H-SLM method is evaluated with the proposed IFFT algorithm without any complex multiplications

A new epidemic model SIPHERD for COVID-19 for the prediction of daily new positive and death cases in India and United States

Mathematical ModelingEpidemiologyData Analysis

A mathematical model for COVID-19 was developed using past data to enable accurate predictions. Three categories of infection carriers, symptomatic, purely asymptomatic, and exposed, are considered with different transmission rates that are taken depending on the social distancing conditions, and the detection rate of the infected carriers is taken dependent on the tests done per day. The model is applied to predict the total number of confirmed, active, and death cases and daily new positive cases in India and the United States. We analyze the impact of lockdown and the number of tests conducted per day on prediction and present scenarios in which infection can be controlled faster.

A Mathematical Model for Covid-19 Incorporating Vaccine Effectiveness in India and associated predictions and control measures

Mathematical ModelingEpidemiologyData AnalysisVaccine Effectiveness

A mathematical model for Covid-19 incorporating vaccine effectiveness is also developed and bring out associated predictions for various vaccination rates and pointed out optimum control measures.
